Maple and Lyptus Cutting Board
This end grain cutting board is made with Maple and Lyptus woods. This board the second in a limited series of three cutting boards I made from “Sales samples” of kitchen countertops that I got from my Sister-in-Law. (Thanks Sis!) It measures 16 inches x 9-3/4 inches x 1-1/4 inches. End grain cutting boards are prized for their longevity because of the way the grain interacts with the knife blade. This type of board requires more work, but I believe the effort is worth it.
