Maple, Cherry, and Lyptus Cutting Board
This end grain cutting board is made of Maple, Cherry, and Lyptus woods. It is the third of three cutting boards that I made from “sales samples” of kitchen countertops. (Shout out to my sister-in-law). It measures 15-7/8 inches x 9-1/2 inches x 1-1/4 inches. End grain cutting boards are prized for their longevity because of the way the grain interacts with the knife blade. They are harder to build, but I believe the extra effort is worth it.
