Walnut, Maple, and Cherry Cutting Board
This end grain cutting board is made with Walnut, Maple, and Cherry Woods. This board was the first in a limited series of three cutting boards I made from some “sales samples” of kitchen countertops I got from my Sister-in Law. (Thanks Sis!) It measures 16-1/2 inches x 10-7/8 inches x 1-1/4 inches. End grain cutting boards are prized for their longevity because of the way the grain interacts with the knife blade. They are more difficult to build, but I believe the extra effort is worth it.
